A dentist doesn't get emotional about their website. Neither does an accountant. You do — because what you're showing isn't a service, it's your work. It's your name on somebody else's skin, permanently.
I work with people who have something on the line every time. It's the only way this interests me, and it's why I don't take work from any other trade.
The needle goes in and that line exists forever. No undo, no save-as, no going back. I can delete everything I make — that's the only real difference between us. So I build with the discipline of someone who can't.
